What experience does the Critter Queen have?
The Queen (Sarah) has mothered a variety of animals including cats, dogs, pocket pets, and a vast variety of fresh water fish.
As a former volunteer at her home town animal shelter and at Sherwood’s C.A.T., she has experience with many different animal personalities. Sarah has cared for special needs pets, including those rehabilitating from injury, those who require medication (oral and injections), special care for animals that have been neglected or abused, and elder care. Finally, Sarah has been professionally pet sitting since Spring 2001.
Dan has been assisting Sarah since 2009. Sarah refers to him as the Critter King as animals are magnetized to him. Dan has experience with cattle and domestic animals. Additionally, Dan is an avid runner and the primary dog runner for pooches who need more than a walk or jog!
Can you care for my pets in your home?
We’d love to have them in our home! We have plenty of space and even a nice fireplace to relax by during cold months. And while we have room for plenty, we won’t board other pets while yours are here. We want to ensure that your pets get complete and undivided attention!
Should I tip?
TIPS is an acronym for ‘To Insure Proper Service’ but giving proper service is what we do naturally! So while we love tips, we don’t expect them.
I know someone who can do it cheaper, so why pay for a professional sitter?
First, we don’t get into price wars.
Second, by choosing Critter Queen, you are leaving your pets in the hands of experienced professionals who are patient animal lovers. With a professional service, you will never have to wonder if your pet received that second walk or if the litter box is being cleaned. We know how to react quickly if a situation arises and understand everyone’s needs and safety.
Further, Critter Queen is insured.
Nonprofessionals may question your requests and not always do as instructed. A professional understands the importance of following your wishes and never questions them. We know that the energy and time invested in training your pet is not to be overlooked while you are away.
What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured?
We will attempt to contact you in all non-emergency and emergency situations.
In the case of an emergency, the veterinarian contact you supply will be contacted immediately. If not available, animals will be taken to nearest vet clinic or Dove Lewis.
